Wind Plants
You can register wind plants in Mirox today and manage them as first-class resources alongside your solar and battery sites. Dedicated wind monitoring and turbine analysis are Planned — the platform's automated analysis currently covers solar PV, and wind support is being built out next.
What You Can Do Today
A wind plant is a full Mirox park resource. Once you create a park of type wind, everything the platform offers around organizing and governing a site applies:
- Portfolio organization — group wind plants into portfolios alongside other plant types.
- Resource hierarchy and access — assign roles per park, share plants across organizations through cooperations, and keep one consistent permission model for every site.
- Plant records — maintain contacts, comments, site documents, and a site outline image per plant.
- Connectivity and remote access — reach on-site infrastructure through the VPN and Browser Proxy, and inspect the local network with the Local Network Inspector.
Where wind sits today
Wind plants share the same cloud platform, agent, and security model as solar. What is still being built is the wind-specific data interpretation layer — the automated component analysis, loss detection, and turbine health monitoring described below.
Monitoring and Analysis — Planned
The automated analysis engine that powers component health, loss detection, and performance evaluation is implemented for solar PV only. The following wind capabilities are on the roadmap and are not yet available:
- Turbine telemetry — per-turbine production, wind conditions, and operational state surfaced on the dashboard.
- Production analysis — expected-versus-measured output and underperformance detection adapted to wind.
- Availability tracking — uptime, downtime, and downtime attribution per turbine and per farm.
- Loss attribution — distinguishing real production loss from curtailment, weather, and communication gaps.
- Event detection — automated detection of stoppages, grid disconnections, and curtailment.
Planned, not shipped
These wind capabilities are described to signal direction, not current functionality. For the analysis that is live today, see Solar Plants and the Digital Twin.
